The Auxiliary was founded in 1990 by three women who wanted to make a difference in the lives of residents living at Clatsop Care Health & Rehabilitation Center. From this humble beginning, the Auxiliary has grown into a dedicated group of individuals, who make resident care and community services at Clatsop Care Health & Rehabilitation Center their primary mission.
The purpose of the Auxiliary is to assist the staff in promoting a better quality of life for Clatsop Care Health & Rehabilitation Center residents.
The auxiliary raises funds to support our Quality of Life programs by conducting three fundraisers through the year: a 'New & Gently Used' sale in spring, a car wash in summer, and a Fall Bazaar & Holiday Sale in November. The funds go toward providing our residents with sight seeing bus trips around the community, bingo prizes, trips to the beauty / barber shop, birthday and seasonal holiday parties, arts & craft supplies, as well as entertainment.
All you need is a desire to help others, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn!
The Auxiliary meets once per month – the fourth Tuesday of the month – September through June. Membership in the Auxiliary is open to anyone who is interested in advancing the mission of CCCHD. "Active Membership" and "Associate Membership" is available to accommodate ways in which members can contribute.
The money collected for dues is used for the Auxiliary's administrative costs, such as printing and mailing of the newsletters and fliers announcing activities and projects.
