Clatsop Care Center Health District Seeks New Board Member to Help Shape the Future of Local Healthcare
ASTORIA, Ore. — Clatsop Care Center Health District (CCHD), the region’s only local provider offering a full continuum of senior care and support services, is seeking applicants for an At-Large Board Member position. This volunteer leadership role provides an opportunity for a dedicated community member to make a meaningful, lasting impact on healthcare throughout Clatsop County.
“Serving on the CCHD Board is a truly rewarding way to contribute to the well-being of our neighbors, families, and elders,” said district leadership. “We are looking for someone who cares deeply about our community and wants to help guide the future of senior care in Clatsop County.”
A Critical Role in Community Health
Board Members play a key role in ensuring that CCHD delivers exceptional care across its four service lines:
- Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation
- Assisted Living
- Dementia Care (Memory Community)
- In-Home Care Services
As a volunteer Board Member, responsibilities include:
- Attending monthly board meetings (1st Thursday of each month)
- Participating in committees as needed
- Reviewing reports and financials prior to each meeting
- Engaging in strategic planning and long-term decision-making
- Collaborating with district leadership and fellow board members
Board service offers an opportunity to strengthen community connections, gain insight into local healthcare operations, and help uphold CCHD’s mission to provide the highest quality of physical, social, and emotional care for Clatsop County residents.

CCHD is a not-for-profit health district committed to helping seniors and individuals in need of both short-term and long-term care remain in their own community—close to home, close to family. With locations in Astoria and Warrenton, the district is the only local organization providing the full spectrum of care, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted living, memory care, and in-home services.

Eligibility
Applicants must reside within the Clatsop Care Health District, which includes all of Clatsop County except Seaside, Gearhart, and Cannon Beach (Seaside Health District).
